Abstract
This research was motivated by the low mastery of basic futsal technical skills among children aged 7-12. Inconsistent attendance and a lack of coaching instruction also hinder technical mastery. This situation necessitates the evaluation of valid and reliable futsal skills test instruments for the development of young athletes.
The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach with a focus on instrument testing. The population consisted of 82 children aged 7-12 who regularly trained for at least six months, with a sample of 30 children selected through purposive sampling. The test included passing, dribbling, and shooting tests, with data obtained through direct testing and assessments according to ability categories.
The results showed that the passing test instrument had a validity of 0.812, 0.688, and 0.889 (p < 0.05) and a reliability of 0.696 (adequate category). The dribbling test had a validity of 0.882, 0.927, and 0.927. and 0.756 (p < 0.05) and reliability of 0.807 (high category). The shooting test has a validity of 1.000 and -0.917 (p < 0.05) and reliability of 0.680 (sufficient category). (r count > 0.361) with an average reliability of 0.700 (high category). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Passing, dribbling, and shooting futsal test instruments for children aged 7–12 years in Bungo Regency are declared valid, reliable, and suitable for use as a basic futsal evaluation tool in early age athletes.
