DESIGN OF A WEB-BASED SCHOOL PROFILE INFORMATION SYSTEM AT SMK SETIH SETIO 2 MUARA BUNGO

Abstract
Information dissemination at SMK Setih Setio 2 Muara Bungo still relied on conventional methods such as printed brochures and bulletin boards, causing delays and limited reach of school information. This study aims to design and test a web-based school profile information system to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information distribution and school promotion.
This research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a waterfall model development process consisting of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The system includes database design, user interface, and application workflow using PHP and MySQL. The test results show that the system meets the functionality aspect with a score of 0.96. Meanwhile, in the usability aspect, the system obtained a score of 98.66%, categorized as highly feasible.
