Plagiarism Policy

Digital Nusantara Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (DINTARA) is firmly committed to maintaining academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or other violations of academic and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening before proceeding to the review process.

1. Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or equivalent software.

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25%, excluding the reference list and certain sections that may be excluded in accordance with the journal's screening policy, may be returned to the authors for revision. Manuscripts with a high similarity index that indicates potential plagiarism may be rejected without proceeding to the peer-review process.

2. Forms of Plagiarism Not Accepted

DINTARA does not accept the following forms of plagiarism:

1. Directly copying or reproducing text from another person's work without providing appropriate citation and source attribution.
2. Using or paraphrasing another person's ideas, arguments, or findings without properly acknowledging the original source.
3. Using data, images, tables, graphs, illustrations, or other materials from another source without proper references and, where necessary, without obtaining permission for their use.
4. Self-plagiarism, which refers to reusing part or all of one's previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment, citation, or disclosure.
5. Using portions of another scholarly work with only minor changes to the wording or sentence structure without acknowledging the original source.

3. Actions Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified during the initial screening process, the manuscript may be rejected before entering the peer-review process or returned to the authors for clarification and revision, depending on the severity of the violation.

If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, DINTARA may take appropriate corrective action based on the severity of the violation, including retraction of the article from the journal issue and publication of a notice explaining the reason for the retraction.

Authors who are proven to have committed plagiarism may be subject to sanctions in accordance with the journal's publication policies and ethical guidelines, including restrictions or a ban on submitting manuscripts to DINTARA in the future.

4. Authors' Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are original works, that all sources used are properly cited, and that the use of materials from other works has been appropriately acknowledged or authorized when required.

By submitting a manuscript to DINTARA, authors confirm that the manuscript complies with the principles of academic integrity and does not contain plagiarism.
