Application of Traditional Games in Cultivating Motivation in Physical Education Learning at SDN 096/VIII Sumber Agung

Abstract
This research is motivated by the lack of student learning motivation in participating in PJOK learning at SDN 096/VIII Sumber Agung. This results in sports activities not running well and optimally. This study aims to foster motivation in PJOK learning at SDN 096/VIII Sumber Agung. This research is a qualitative study that uses questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The objects of research used were 32 fifth grade students and 1 PJOK teacher. Data measurement in this study used a Likert scale and was processed using the average percentage formula. The results of this study indicate that the application of traditional games can foster motivation in PJOK learning at SDN 096/VIII Sumber Agung. This can be seen from the results of the percentage of each indicator that: 1) the indicator of passion and desire successfully obtained a percentage score of 92% with a very good category, 2) the indicator of hope and future ideals obtained a percentage score of 91% with a very good category, 3) the indicator of motivation and needs in learning obtained a percentage score of 93% with a very good category, 4) the indicator of appreciation in learning obtained a percentage score of 91% with a very good category, 5) the indicator of interesting activities in learning obtained a percentage score of 91% with a very good category, 6) the indicator of a conducive learning environment obtained a percentage score of 90% with a very good category. The overall research results state that the results of the research percentage are 91% which falls into the interval of 81% - 100% and has a very good category.
