Abstract
Education's goal is to help people become skilled, smart, and have good morals. But the regular way of teaching through lectures often makes students less engaged, less eager to learn, and results in poor understanding. This research looks at how the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach, supported by interactive video, affects students' motivation to learn and their results at MTsN 2 Muara Bungo. The study used a numbers-based method with an experimental setup, including 45 ninth graders split into two classes: one control class (IX A, with 23 students) and one experimental class (IX C, with 22 students). To gather information, researchers used a survey to check motivation and a test to evaluate how well students learned, both of which were approved. They analyzed the data using an independent t-test with SPSS 26. The findings showed that PBL, when paired with interactive videos, greatly improved students' motivation to learn (t count = 2.473 is more than t table = 1.681; sig = 0.017 is less than 0.05) and their learning results (t count = 2.314 is more than t table = 1.681). Thus, using PBL alongside interactive video can enhance both student motivation and their academic performance.
